Candlelight Vigil (7pm - 10pm)
On 20th November we commemorate the lives of the trans people who have died in the past year, by murder or suicide as a result of their perceived transgender identity. These people might have been anywhere on the trans spectrum - trans men, trans women, intersex, non-binary, cross-dressers etc. - or they may have been mistaken for someone else. But their lives were ended because they did not conform to the gender roles imposed on them by society.
We will gather at Outhouse East and read the names of those who died in the past year, and observe a minute of silence in their memory.
The building is fully accessible with indoor and outdoor lifts, and disabled toilet. Refreshments (hot and cold drinks, snacks) available for a small fee. Free entry.
